Prepared for Employment

Prepared for Employment
Blind & Vision Rehab officially has concluded an employment preparedness initiative funded by the Highmark Local Workforce Initiative Fund, a donor advised fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation. The new program taught adults with disabilities skills necessary for using computers to find and apply for jobs online and skills to market themselves to employers, along with interviewing preparation and organizing job searches.
While the program was set up to enhance employability skills for persons with vision loss, it transitioned into a users group of more than 12 members with their own info sharing web site at eyesfree.org.
