iGetIt Classes

Back by popular demand are our iGetit Classes for Seniors.

For many, technology is changing the way we interact in the world. For seniors its impact is greater than any other demographic. Technology and iDevices can help older Americans connect in ways that are extremely beneficial.

Our talented instructors in our Access Technology Center are here to help close the technology gap for older Americans. We will once again be hosting a series of informative sessions that will introduce seniors to the iPad and iPhone. Each class is limited to ten students and lasts an hour. Students may attend all four or choose ones that will be the most beneficial.

We hope you will join our talented AT instructors as they teach you how to iGetIt. We invite you to share this information if you know of anyone who could benefit from these amazing classes.

November 6 – Getting Organized
November 13 – Getting Around

Time: 9:30 – 10:30 am

Cost is $10.00 per person which benefits our amazing programs and services.

Yoga on the Roof

Kick off your summer wellness program by joining
Blind & Vision Rehabilitation Services for “Yoga on the Roof”.

Join us in our beautiful sensory garden for Yoga on the Roof surrounded by Reiki and Sound Fusion performed by Lenny Santoro. This experience will create awareness and harmony in both the mind and body in a lovely and relaxing setting.

Sessions are held monthly at Blind & Vision Rehabilitation Services from June through September and begin at 7:30 pm. Classes are appropriate for people of all skill levels and abilities. The cost per session is $10 per student, of which $5 will be donated to BVRS.

Experienced instructor Sterling Painton of Sterling Yoga will inspire and challenge participants to become their very best through a mindful yoga practice. Her commitment is to educate, heal, and invigorate her students’ bodies and mind.
